About

World Wide EdI’ve been doing this web thing since the beginning of time and never really saw a need to have my own, nor did I wish the world to know about my daily life. I always thought that these blog weirdos were wasting their time doing this nonsense and refused to jump on the bandwagon. Over time - and much introspective debate - I realized that this might be just the thing for me.

I’ve got hundreds of web projects and sites sprinkled across this vast Internet. A Google search on my name today brings up 541 results. Sad ain’t it? Most are very dated sites and many are unfortunately ignored by me. I figured that, if I do this blog thing correctly, it could, in essence, replace much of what I have out there. I could just worry about maintaining this thang and be done with it. Think about it. My personal web site: Gone/Replaced! My online photo gallery: Gone/Replaced! Writing Projects: Replaced/Mirrored! I’m even tweaking this software to hopefully one day be able to allow friends and family the ability to upload/share comment on their own photos and blogs. Fun times!

The shove over the edge for me was when I heard that many journalistic-minded peeps were making some pretty decent side coinage off of their rants with the thanks of advertising and affiliate type programs. I folded like origami and buckled under the pressure… Now lucky you, you get World Wide Ed in blog form. Don’t worry though, this will still just be a hobby site (I won’t sell out to Google when they offer me millions *fingers crossed*) as I don’t expect to get rich from it. As always, I will continue to provide valuable resources for people of all walks of life, especially those interested in the computer help (I work in and write about the industry), travel (I travel often), regional cuisine (me loves to eat) and Hawaii (I call the 808 home) realms. Looking forward to providing you with the above as well as my regular commentary on anything, or nothing at all, and I hope you enjoy what I have to say.

Just one voice in this world of many…
One love,
-Ed.
