I’ve been doing this web thing since the beginning of time and never really saw a need to have my own blog. I always thought that them blog weirdos were wasting their time with the nonsense – that nobody cared about – and refused to jump on the egomaniacal bandwagon. Over time – and much introspective debate – I realized that this might just be the thing for me.
I’ve got hundreds of web projects and sites sprinkled across the Interwebs. A Google search on my name today brings up 21,600 results. Sad ain’t it? Most are very dated and unfortunately ignored by me. I figured that, if I did this correctly, it could, in essence, replace much of what I have out there. Theoretically, I could just worry about maintaining this one thang and be done with it. My personal web site: Gone! My numerous writing projects: Mirrored! My online photos: Replaced! Fun times ahead yo!
The push over the edge for me was when I heard about the many journalistic-minded peeps making some decent coinage off of their random rants with the help of advertising and affiliate type programs. I folded like origami and buckled under the pressure! Now you… oh lucky you… You get the glory that is World Wide Ed in blog form. (Apologies…) No worries though, I will NEVER sell out to Google/The Travel Channel/The Food Network when they come and offer me millions! Chyeah RIGHT! (*crosses fingers*) Did you miss the part about the origami above? 😛
In the meantime, I will continue to provide invaluable content for all y’all interested in food (me loves to eat), travel (I globetrot from time to time), Hawaii (I call the 808 home), or a McCombo platter of ’em all! Hoping ya enjoy what I gotsta say every once in a while…
Just one voice in this world of many,
P.S. Google/The Travel Channel/The Food Network, holla atcho boy! 8)
